NEW SHOW: CHICAGO TYPEWRITER
This is a negative review, so if you enjoyed the show probably not a good idea to read it.
I went into watching the show with a little bit of high expectations since it had Yoo Ah-In who loved in 'Secret love affair' and ' Six flying dragons' and to be fair it started of somewhat interesting, there were a few funny moments and it does have a supernatural element to it because the story is based on a best selling writer and 1930s time travel element as well and the typewriter holds im guessing the soul of a writer from the 1930's.
Which sounds very interesting but as the episode went on I could tell that this was a none-story. I felt like they sat down and said okay goblin was a hit lets do it again.
This is the formula:
1. Popular actor - check.
2. High budget - check.
3. Supernatural element - ghost in a typewriter- check.
But just like goblin the storyline has no substance, it's not interesting at all and it's like you are watching to just watch something.
Also, the female lead annoyed me for some reason, she wasn't a bad actress but she wasn't amazing either. I feel like this was a poor casting choice and it also contributed to putting me off on carrying on.
So for now I will give this drama a miss.
